The Witness of Time– IWC Portuguese Tourbillion Manual-winding Watch

The year 2010 is “The Year of Portuguese” for IWC, as IWC is launching one after one Portuguese watches. Soon after the setting up of Portuguese Tourbillion Self-winding Watch, the Portuguese Toubililion Manual-winding Watch is launched. This is for a use to highlight the 80th birthday of Portuguese series.

Well-known for its compact style, the Portuguese watches mixes the eternal and elegant design elements with the original fine watch manufacturing technique.  Hence, they are chased and praised by many watch gatherers and experts. The Portuguese Tourbillion Manual-winding Watch is the mix of classic, holding stainless steel with primary pocket watch clock mechanism. The style follows the trait of  the first Portuguese pocket watch 70 years ago.  There are two styles for this manual-winding watch series.

The first kind is boasting black dial with rhodanised Arabic numerals and symbolic leaf-shape hands. There is a contrasting silver second dial at 6. The red number “60″ in the subdial mark itself from the rest. Theother is processed with silver dial and rose gold markings and . It takes a light grey second watch, which is vividly eye-catching. The two styles  some popular features, such as the conventional track-like bezel with nickel silver 3/4 pallet, the extended pointers and the IWC self-made 98285 clock mechanism etc. Through these two calm graceful watches, IWC once again praises the original Portuguese wristwatches that even in the outstripped past, the Portuguese wristwatches are nearly the ideal automatic watches. In a word, blending the present with the past, the IWC Portuguese Tourbillion Manual-winding Watch could be taken to be the witness of time.
